Our #MakeSomeNoise programme has commenced! And it's a massive success! Since November 1, 2016, we have been running once monthly music workshops in the Refugee Council UK's Children's section in Croydon for the unaccompanied minor refugees who are presently in foster care as they await results on their applications for asylum.
Additionally, every Friday we give private music tuition in the form of small group theory lessons, individual instrumental instruction, choir practice, and more. As well as enhancing and deepening the community of support that these kids have available to them, we are preparing the kids to take part in Orchestra for All's National and Regional Modulo meets. As participants, our students will get to perform in an orchestra made up of children from across the UK who otherwise would not be able to afford or enrol in other orchestral programmes.
Keep up to date with our pupils' weekly progress on our facebook page and twitter feed @PlayForProgress.
