We are searching for interns!
You may have seen Play for Progress featured in this article in the Guardian last week or featured in this video by the Deutsche Bank.
Since 2014 we, Alyson and Anna, have been developing our organisation, which delivers therapeutic and educational music programmes to children who are victims of conflict and war. We won the Deutsche Bank for Creative Enterprise, which provided us with £10,000 of seed funding to develop a curriculum of activities which we delivered in workshops in UK primary schools and in Thailand, where we held an international programme for Burmese refugee children in Feb-March 2015. In addition to planning our return to Thailand to continue our work there, we are in the process of establishing a year-long local programme for unaccompanied minors who are seeking asylum in the UK, in association with two well-respected NGOs. We are also in discussion with refugee camps and another NGO abroad in Erbil, Iraq and intend to launch our second international programme working with Kurdish children later this year.
As we enter into this new phase of development and growth, we are looking to gain the input and assistance of someone who is doing a degree or research in a subject related to our aims who would be interested in working with our swiftly expanding organisation.
